Hello ladies and gents, I am writing to welcome you to our first NorCal SF RPCV book club meeting. We will be meeting Thursday February 25th at Borderland Cafe on 807 Valencia between 19th and 20th. PT options are BART to 24th or 16th St, the J to Church and 19th, the 22 to Valencia and 16th, or the 14 or 49 to Mission and 19th. The book we will be discussing is Half a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie about Nigeria in the 1960’s (http://www.halfofayellowsun.com/). I’ve read this author and she provides an intriguing while quick read, perfect for our first meeting.
This first meeting will be pretty important in deciding the flavor of the club. If you don’t read the book, come anyway and come with suggestions! Hopefully there will be a place for all types of books but we need you to make it all happen. If you have any questions, feel free to email. Hope to see you there!
