Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from around Northern California will team up with the Ohlone Elementary School Global Awareness team to celebrate, learn and share experiences from over 100 countries at our Annual Festival of Cultures. After the Festival we will be hosting an Indian buffet dinner fundraiser to support the costs of the Festival of Cultures and our programs throughout Northern California.
Brett Beach, RPCV and co-founder of Madécasse, will give a presentation on how his service in Madagascar developed into an international chocolate business that works to ensure that more of wealth stays in the country of origin through ethical cocoa sourcing and the production of chocolate. You'll also be able to taste the fruits of their labor!
