Instead of our usual Friday evening dinner, this time around, we are going to do a joint happy hour with Kiva. Kiva is a non-profit organization that gives people the connection to be able to make micro-loans of as little as $25, mostly to people in developing countries. See www.kiva.org for details, or to make a loan. Speak to Kiva people who have set up microfinance opportunities in your Peace Corps country. Perhaps share your connections to help Kiva get in-roads to your country. Or perhaps just have fun connecting with like-minded people looking to make a difference in the world.
