THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR FEB 26
Great events just don’t happen. Even a small potluck will benefit from some smart planning. And large events require months of planning. At this event workshop you will learn many of the basics for putting together large and small events from choosing a site location, planning logistics, finding speakers, to developing budgets, timelines and, event agendas.
NorCal has no paid staff but serves such a vast region that we are dependent on a small army of volunteers to ensure that each region has engaging events bringing Peace Corps service home. At this workshop you can talk to NorCal representatives about how you can become involved in planning an event in your area and how we can help. Also Let us know if you’d be interested in helping plan one of our big organizational events such as the Annual Picnic this summer or the Annual General Meeting at the end of January each year.
If you would like to attend RSVP to Will Spargur will[AT]norcalpca[DOT]org. There is also a call in option (number is available upon request)
Frank Price has over 15 years of experience event planning and team building. He has generously volunteered to share his wealth of experience with other RPCVs so that the next event will be that much more enjoyable with fewer challenges to the planners.
It will be an interactive open-ended discussion and presentation on such topics as purpose, site selection, decision making, organization, entertainment and economics. There will be handouts for participants and Frank is more than happy to send a PDF of the presentation upon request.
RPCVs Speakers Needed
