Aldea Children & Family Services will provide emergency foster placement, treatment foster care, and adoption services for more than 550 children this year in Napa and Solano County.
Currently, Aldea is having a drive for items to fill care-packs for children and youth in Aldea’s foster care programs. These care packs help foster kids feel special during the stressful -and sometimes sudden— transition to their new families.
At this event, we will fill the care-packs with the donated items. This day and time is set up just for us, so we will need at least 8 volunteers for the event to occur. Please sign up!
Volunteers are welcome to bring items to donate to the care-packs. They are accepting NEW backpacks, toiletries, small toys, journals and coloring books, slippers, and socks. NEW or GENTLY-USED pajamas and clothing. Items are needed for children (ages 0-17), with a specific need for items for older children ages 10-17.
After working to create the care-packs, we will have lunch at one of downtown Napa's delicious restaurants. There are many tasting rooms very close by, so for those that want to make a day of it, there is plenty to see and do in Napa. Hope you can join us!
