May 1 Volunteer Send Off

Last Update: 6/13/2013 9:04 PM

On May 1st Peace Corps and the Northern California Peace Corps Association hosted a Send Off for newly minted Peace Corps nominees. Over 300 prospective volunteers, nominees, family and friends gathered at the South Berkeley Senior Center to talk to dozens of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers representing every region that Peace Corps Serves. The highlight of the night was when Peace Corps made a surprise announcement and handed out invitation letters to several of the participants.
