NorCal Board elections will be held on Jan 25th at our Annual General Meeting. Members can also vote online beginning Jan 19th thru Jan 23th at 11:59pm.

The NorCalPCA Board of Directors are annually elected by the NorCalPCA membership to serve two-year terms beginning at the Annual General Meeting the last Saturday in January. All Board positions are unpaid. Board Members attend monthly board meetings held on the second Monday of each month but are allow 2 excused absences. Board meetings are typically held on the 2nd Monday of each month in San Francisco. There is a phone-in option for board members who cannot attend in person. Board members must be current NorCalPCA members. The Board has a planning retreat on the second Saturday in February. NorCalPCA has two types of directors, Regional Directors and At Large Directors.

Regional Directors
Regional Directors are responsible for the coordination and facilitation of activities and events in their area, for participation in Member Group events and activities in their area, for representing their Member Group on Board decisions and reporting back to the Member Group. Regional directors can expect occasional assistance from at large directors for certain types of programming in their areas.

At Large Directors
At Large directors join the board based on the skill sets they bring to the organization. At Large board members are encouraged to run based on their experiences and willingness to participate in one or more of the following areas listed below.

  • 3rd Goal
  • Volunteer Services (mentoring/career development)
  • Development
  • Special Events
  • Communications
  • PR/Marketing
  • Membership Recruitment/Retention
