Our storytelling workshops are great for novice and seasoned storytellers alike. We'll present tools and exercises to help you develop an engaging, compassionate and possibly hilarious story, whether your idea is merely a whisper in your head, or something you've already written 50 pages about and can't bring yourself to cut a single word.

Our theme for the August story jam series is "Don't Tell Mom!"

Please come to the workshop with a story idea. We'll have activities to help you develop it into concrete story elements. The workshop is your chance to meet other storytellers and decide if you want to tell a story at the next jam. Be sure to come with an open mind and be ready to have fun!

Workshop Agenda:

-- Identify elements of a powerful story
-- Get tips on how to engage your audience
-- Story telling activity
-- Peer feedback

In the weeks following the workshop there will be two practice sessions to help you prepare for the jam. All storytellers must attend at least one practice session in order to perform at the story jam, but we STRONGLY encourage you to attend both.

Practice #1: July 28
Practice #2: August 11
Don't Tell Mom! Story Jam: August 18

RSVPs Required: Megan McMahon megan_mcmahon[at]yahoo.com

Pizza and drinks will be provided.
