On October 19,The Commonwealth Club World Affairs is presenting a program that is important and relevant to the news of the day.
The title is How America Looks From Everywhere Else
Eight journalists from Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Finland, Hong Kong, India and Italy are travelling in the United States as fellows of the World Press InstituteThey have sat in on the Associated Press’s global news meeting, watched an immigration court, spent a week in a town of 1,300 on Lake Superior, gone to the border at Nogales, and questioned editors, campaigners, pollsters, and officials along the way.
Now, just over a few weeks before Americans vote, they discuss what they have actually seen. This is the United States described by people who are about to go home and explain it to their audiences abroad.
The organizer and moderator is Frank Price, RPCV Côte d’Ivoire and Advocacy Coordinator for Nor Cal Peace Corps.
