RPCVs, friends, and family, let’s come together for an extended camping trip to Pinnacles National Park! This will be an adventure filled with stunning trails, beautiful wildflowers, and maybe condor sightings.
Trip Details:
- Dates: 1 PM Friday, April 03 – 11 AM Monday, April 06 (Easter weekend)
- Location: Campgrounds on the east side of Pinnacles National Park (2400 Hwy 146 Pinnacles Area, Paicines, CA 95043)
- Group Camping Sites: We have reserved three campsites (We’ll be staying at Group Campsites – 124G, 125G, and 126G), each accommodating up to 20 campers. Parking is a short stroll away.
- Cost: $30 per camper, for campsite (cannot be prorated if staying less than three nights) $6/meal/camper (can be prorated for number of meals you plan to eat with the group).
Lessons learned from last year:
- This year we have 3 continuous campsites! No shuttling between sites to see your friends!
- This year we will have a designated team doing the menu planning and grocery shopping. Campers will only need to help cook and clean up for once during the weekend (think how we did at Big Sur).
April typically offers mild weather and vibrant wildflower blooms, making it an ideal time to explore the park’s diverse landscapes. While we anticipate most participants will depart on Sunday, the extended reservation allows for those who wish to enjoy hikes throughout Sunday without feeling rushed. Planned activities include naturalist-led hikes on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with an additional hike on Monday morning, if there’s enough interest.
