🎤 Call for Storytellers: “Unexpected Encounters” Live Event
January 23 | Brava Theater, San Francisco
Ever had a chicken interrupt a government meeting? Misread a cultural cue during a high-stakes site visit? Found lifelong friendship with someone you couldn’t even talk to at first? Whether you were navigating a new community, managing a multi-stakeholder project, or just trying to catch the right bus, global service is full of strange, surprising, and unexpectedly meaningful moments.
We’re looking for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and USAID alumni (from any hiring mechanism or implementing partner) to take the stage for a fun, community-driven night of true, 4–5 minute stories centered on the theme: “Unexpected Encounters.”
Whether your moment was hilarious, heartwarming, awkward, or just plain strange, we want to hear it. No storytelling experience required. We’ll help you shape your story and prepare with a few virtual support sessions.
