Hola Amigos,
Let’s go camping! We will stay at Mt. Diablo State park, which is located in the East Bay by Walnut Creek. It’s a beautiful location with lots of hiking and biking options. This is a choose your own adventure weekend so you can do as much or as little as you want. Activities we/you might do include hikes to the summit, exploring Rock City, or reading a book in a hammock at the campsite.
Rough Itinerary:
Fri (5/8)
Afternoon: Setup tent, campsite, etc
Evening: Campfire, S’mores, Stargazing
Sat (5/9)
Morning: Breakfast
Afternoon: hike/visitor center/whatever you want
Evening: Campfire, S’mores, Contemplate the meaning of life
Sun (5/10)
Morning: Breakfast, Cleanup and COS
Logistics/Parking
I have reserved a group campsite which accommodates up to 20 people. The campground has pit toilets and running water.
Kids, friends, partners, and dogs are welcome to join. If you want to only come for one night, or just come for a day hike, that is also possible.

If for some reason more than 20 people express interest, I will add you to the waitlist. Fortunately RPCV’s are free spirits, so there is an excellent chance that somebody will back out and you will get to go.
